David
David started skiing when he was just a wee kid and
has been on the slopes ever since.
Foiled in his attempt to go to college in the mountains, and
not brave enough to quit and be a ski bum, he finally landed in a ski shop when
he came to Doc's in 2005.
After
living in Kentucky for most of his life, he’s stoked to be living closer to
some real mountains.

Lenny
Lenny first hit the slopes and discovered one of his greatest passions at age 4. Having to progress quickly to keep up with his older brother, he promptly memorized the trail maps of every mountain he skied. His parents fueled his love for skiing and his desire to ski every mountain in the western U.S., even if that required missing some classes now and then. Now let’s just say that he’s well past age 4 and still spends as much of his free time as possible skiing and snowboarding. This season he’s excited to get his older son on the mountain (at age 4).
After working in the ski industry for 15 years as well as serving as a technical rep for companies such as Spyder, Lenny joined Doc’s in December 2008. He has an almost scary amount of knowledge of equipment dating from the 80s to present day, and gets tremendous satisfaction out of running into his customers on the slopes.

Miller
Though he hasn't spent as much time in the snow as the rest of the staff, 8 year-old Miller knows his way around the ski slopes and the ski shop. When he's not in school or playing with friends, Miller can often be found entertaining visitors at the shop. He's also the official tester of all of the kid's equipment, and if you ask him for a ski recommendation, he'll let you in on a secret, "The red ones go fast!"

Dan
Originally from Fort Loramie, Ohio Dan has been skiing for over 24
years. While it was his passion for acting that brought him to Los
Angeles, his love for skiing brought him to Doc's. Dan has skied
throughout North America and Europe, and he was almost deported from
Canada for skiing out-of-bounds.

Mike
Growing up in Central California, Mike had an easy time getting his parents to cater to his unceasing requests to take him to the Lake Tahoe area. He has always loved snowboarding. Even though he was a broke college student at CSUN getting a degree in . . . hmmm, that is a good question (we don't know if he knows either) . . . he still found a way to ride (financial aid office). Mike found himself working in the snowboard industry for a retailer in the San Fernando Valley, and making frequent trips to the local mountains or back to Tahoe to hit up Kirkwood. One of Mike's biggest claims to fame is being the 2000 Goat Roping Champion of California (he has the belt buckle to prove it). Now, as a member of Doc’s crew, he’s finally in the company of people who are just as crazy (about snow sports and in general) as he is.

Sheryl grew up in the Great White North known as Canada. It seems that winter lasts nine months there, so she was able to spend a lot of time in the cold and some great times on the slopes. A California girl now, the Sierras feel like home.

Linda
Despite Linda’s continuous childhood pleas to her parents, they never took her skiing. She finally skied for the first time at age 20, in the Pyrenees Mountains in Andorra, a country that is 17 miles wide between Spain and France. At age 25 she started snowboarding. Linda is in a continuous state of glee on the slopes, and is a huge fan of Mammoth Mountain (although she’d love to ride in Europe again, next time in the Alps).

Cari
Cari grew up in Ohio and realized that skiing was far cooler than playing basketball, so she forfeited her position to join the ski club. Believe it or not she learned on a small hill in Mansfield, Ohio (they have hills, not mountains, there), where she dreamed of one day skiing the powder of Colorado. While in the US Army, she was transferred to Colorado where she spent most of her downtime trying to find untouched powder stashes in the Rockies and the San Juans. Cari's claim to fame at the shop is that she is one of the tallest people working there – and the other one is Marissa (don't laugh at the boys for being short, they can’t help it).

Jon
Jon joined our crew this year, bringing an incredible knowledge of the snowboard industry as well as a great riding style. Born in the 80's (youngster that he is), Jon got into snowboarding when it was evolving. Along with a larger than life attitude about snowboarding (he is only 5'6"), he brings incredible product knowledge and 8 years of industry experience working with a few premier retailers in the snow sports industry as well as Burton Snowboards. If he isn't in the shop or he has called in sick, you can find him hitting the C-box or riding the steeps somewhere.

Maria
Maria, originally from Sweden, skied during her childhood in some of the greatest mountains in the world. When she first entered Doc's Ski Haus, it didn't take Maria long to realize that she just needed to work here. She loves LA and is excited to report that she'll become a citizen this year! Maria also enjoys ice hockey and is learning to golf.
Maria is taking this season off from Doc's to welcome her newborn baby boy! Congratulations Maria!
Rosemarie
Rosemarie started skiing at the tender age of five. She rode throughout the East coast, Canada and Austria. Three years ago, she picked up snowboarding and has been rippin' up the West Coast ever since. Goals include nailing a front and back side 540, successfully launching and landing a 40-footer and bombing down any mountain non stop!
Bill
Coming to us out of semi-retirement is Bill. Besides being an incredible tech and an artist with ski and board repair, Bill is a firefighter (at least the shop won't burn down) as well as an incredible big mountain snowboarder. A native Australian who is known for having the biggest calves in the Western Hemisphere, Bill is all about the deep powder days and charging tight chutes and steeps that would make most people nervous. He has been in the industry for almost 20 years and is the man behind the scenes that you praise when you realize that your board or skis are making you ride better than ever.

Kevin started skiing when he was 3 and began working at a ski shop by the age of 15. Since then his ski shop resume has expanded to include REI, Erehwon Mountain Outfitter, Ski Barn, Viking Ski Shop, U.S Orthotic Center and Doc’s. Kevin taught skiing and snowboarding at Wilmot Mountain and has skied all over the U.S and Canada, as well as countless peaks in Southwest Colorado while backcountry skiing.
Della
The Doc's Ski Haus official mascot. After all, every great ski shop needs a dog. Della now has her own column in Doc’s newsletters, “Della’s Corner,” with tips to help kids have a great experience on the mountain. She is excited about her increasing level of responsibility at the shop.
