The Doc Is on Call – Doc’s Ski Haus Launches First On-Mountain Helpline

SANTA MONICA, CA, September 28, 2009 – After 51 years in business, Santa Monica-based Doc’s Ski Haus expanded into a new, larger retail space today and added snowboards to the mix, to accommodate their growing business. More customers seek Doc’s prescription for a better ride and the staff’s off-kilter humor for a better laugh. The Doc is actually always on call – they have an on-mountain helpline, in case customers have a question about their equipment while skiing or riding.

“Our staff’s experience, customer service focus and attempts to be funny are unrivaled. Whether someone is a beginner or expert, 4 years old, 14 or 64, our goal is to fit each individual customer properly, based on experience, size and style,” says David Craycraft, owner of Doc’s. Doc’s Ski Haus puts their money where their mouth is, with performance and price-match guarantees that ensure the right gear at the right price, every time.

All customers who buy hard goods (meaning skis, snowboards, or boots) are given a simple, Doc’s-authored guide to ensure they get the most out of their equipment, and a manager’s cell phone number, in case they need any assistance down the proverbial road (or mountain). Doc’s carries a vast product offering including brands like Kjus, K2, Spyder, Burton, DC, thirtytwo, Quiksilver, Roxy, Spacecraft, Salomon, Descente, Rossignol, Coal, Nordica, and Nils, to cater to both die-hard and occasional mountain-goers.

The grand opening celebration for the new store is October 10, 2009, from 4-10 PM, with at least 15% off everything store-wide, 40-70% off merchandise from the previous season, valuable giveaways throughout the event, and enough food and drink to call it a dinner date.
