Doc's Ski Haus  >  Staff

Staff

David
David Craycraft

David started skiing when he was just a kid and has been on the slopes ever since. Foiled in his attempt to go to college in the mountains, and not brave enough to quit and be a ski bum, he finally landed in a ski shop when he came to Doc's in 2005.

Miller
Miller Craycraft

Though he hasn't spent as much time in the snow as the rest of the staff, six-year-old Miller knows his way around the ski slopes and the ski shop. When he's not in school or playing with friends, Miller can often be found entertaining visitors at the shop. He's also the official tester of all of the kid's equipment, and if you ask him for a ski recommendation, he'll let you in on a secret, "The red ones go fast!"

Grant Adam

Born and raised in South Africa Grant cast his first fly line at age 11. Grant is a versatile fly fisherman that is just as comfortable in the surf as in a stream. He moved to LA two years ago and enjoys the year-round fishing California offers. His most memorable fishing experience is fishing the mouth of the St Lucia estuary in South Africa, catching blue fish on surface plugs.

When she first entered Doc's Ski Haus, it didn't take Maria long to realize that she just needed to work here. She loves LA and is excited to report that she'll become a citizen this year! Maria also enjoys ice hockey and is learning to golf.

Mark
Mark Dowd

A Hermosa Beach native, Mark's passion for extreme sports is strong. If Mark isn't in the ski shop, he's out on the slope or, in off seasons, he's surfing the California coast. When he's not living the sport, he's dreaming about it. "I can't remember a time when I didn't have a skiing or surfing dream." Mark has skied for five Warren Miller films and been employed by Snowbird, Kirkwood and Mammoth.
